AMT Optical Bonding Fill the Gap

The biggest feature of AMT's optical bonding technology is our unique adhesive that is suitable for various different media surfaces. We invented a soft adhesive with great viscosity, which has excellent gap filling capabilities and can overcome the problem of uneven bonding surfaces. In addition, combined with AMT's proprietary producing technology, OCA can overcome the problem of the bezel-panel height difference, allowing the OCA to lay on top of polarizers or metal frames, significantly remove the bright edges when looking at the LCD panel sideways.

Less Mura

Although optical bonding can optimize display performance, it can also cause mura due to bonding pressure, resulting in local whitening or yellowing of the screen. For some displays, excessive bonding pressure can also crack the glass of the display. The Lucent Gel designed and produced by AMT is soft and can be bonded with lighter pressure, which can significantly reduce the occurrence of mura. It is extremely suitable for displays that are not pressure-resistant, such as OLED, EPD, Open Cell, etc.

Weather-Resistant Features

AMT's Lucent Gel is silicone-based and has excellent weather resistance. After optical bonding, it does not produce bubbles, yellowing or cracking (verified through ASTM G154 Cycle 1 1500 hours, MIL-STD-810H PRO1 1000 hours, -40°C and 95°C 1000 hours, and 85°C/85% RH 1000 hours tests). It is very great for long-term outdoor applications which are exposed to sunlight and extreme temperatures.
