ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) are the three criteria for evaluating a sustainable business. Before the term was coined, AMT had incorporated many of these criteria in our corporate policies. Therefore, when we established an ESG policy team in 2021, AMT could reach many standards in these three categories. AMT will continue to promote ESG policies and strive for excellence.
Environmental
The main indexes of environmental issues include reducing greenhouse gas emissions, efficient use of water and energy, reducing the carbon footprint of products, using renewable energy, packaging, and waste disposal, and other issues. Regarding greenhouse gas, AMT establishes an effective verification system based on the standards of ISO 14064 greenhouse gas emission verification and finds the possibility of saving energy consumption and improvement methods.
AMT implements pollution treatment and waste management and monitors the manufacturing processes and operations to ensure that the environmental impact is minimized. In addition, we reinforce energy-saving policies, waste reduction, and carbon reduction measures (certified by the ISO 14001: 2015 environmental management system certification). AMT will continue to comply with the carbon reduction policy and meet environmental protection requirements.
Social
As a benevolent company which emphasizes CSR, AMT attends to employee equal rights and welfares, gender equality, career development education, data privacy, etc. In order to ensure the health and safety of workers, we have obtained the ISO 45001:2018 occupational safety and health management system certification, which also helps to improve the efficiency and productivity of workers. AMT regularly donate to disadvantaged groups for the past twenty years. We donate materials and money to those in need, and encourage colleagues to participate in social welfare activities. We sincerely hope to pass the kindness forward so that the society can be filled with tenderness and warmth!
Governance
AMT focuses on standardized management to ensure the company's purpose is maintained. We balance the role and board members, managers, shareholders, and all stakeholders. We weigh on the quality and function of the board of directors, corporate commitment and business ethics, value chain management, organizational justice and transparency, business philosophy and accountability, etc. We take all measures to balance rights and responsibilities between different stakeholders so that the company's decision-making is logical and transparent to ensure the company's sound and sustainable operation!
