Aqua Proof PCAP Touch

Conventional PCAP touch controllers may have basic waterproof capabilities, but false touches still occur when the panel was exposed to excessive water or operated under running water. AMT develops Aqua Proof PCAP touch buttons that enhance waterproof performance notably. We incorporate self-capacitance measurement technology and enhanced button design, structure, hardware, and firmware. So the Aqua Proof PCAP receives significantly less interference from water. This ensures excellent performance of the PCAP buttons in the presence of running water.

AMT offers two designs for Aqua Proof PCAP touch. The first design is opaque PCAP touch buttons, which can be customized in terms of pattern, shape, and size according to customer requirements. LED indicators can also be added for visual feedback based on customer needs. The second design is transparent PCAP touch buttons, which are combined with an LCD display. Aqua Proof PCAP touch can be operated in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. So the instrument are resistant to false touches when exposed to water of extreme temperatures. These touch buttons are suitable for various water-based applications such as shower equipment, car wash facilities, seafood processing plants, outdoor applications, marine equipment, medical devices, and more.

ePaper Optical Bonding

Recently, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) become an important consideration among businesses. Many sectors are taking measures to reduce energy consumption. As a result, the demand for ePaper is growing in the market, leading to a significant focus on the optical bonding technology for ePaper. The main challenge in optical bonding EPD and Ch-LCD in the thinness of the glass substrate, therefore, excessive or uneven pressure applied during the bonding process can cause the glass to break. On the other hand, the traditional liquid bonding may result in adhesive overflow, and the curing shrinkage of the adhesive can lead to Mura issues.

To tackle these two pain points, AMT utilizes solid OCA (silicone-based) in the optical bonding procedure. The pressure and debubbling pressure used in vacuum bonding are low. Combined with our self-developed bonding fixtures, this approach avoids excessive pressure and uneven pressure during bonding. And also reduce the occurrence of stress-related mura. Furthermore, we can apply a cover glass on the surface of the EPD/ Ch-LCD for additional protection or add a front light guide on the EPD, allowing users to see the screen content clearly under low-light environments. To make the equipment more weather-resistant, we can incorporate anti-UV designs into the structure to prevent LCD yellowing or cracking.
