With PenMount PCAP touch controllers, customers can reduce system sensitivity to environmental variations while enhancing overall stability and reliability, making them well suited for industrial HMIs, medical terminals, and professional equipment requiring precise input and smooth operation.
Comprehensive Driver Support
The accuracy of resistive touch products relies on calibration mechanisms, including coordinate linearity correction, resolution mapping, display orientation conversion, and edge compensation. These functions must be fully managed by PenMount drivers at the system level to ensure long-term stable operation. For projected capacitive touch products utilizing USB or HID over I2C, if the operating system fully supports HID, built-in system drivers can achieve basic touch functionality. However, for RS-232 interfaces, or systems using DOS, RTOS, or customized platforms, PenMount drivers are still required to ensure proper data interpretation and system stability.
PenMount’s driver and technical support experience spans multiple operating systems, including DOS, Windows 95/98/2000/XP, Windows Embedded, Windows CE, modern Windows, and Linux, as well as various RTOS and customized embedded platforms. For customers with firmware and system development capabilities, PenMount can provide complete communication protocols and control process development manuals to support driver development and system integration.
