What thermal and ventilation design should be considered for a high-brightness Sigma display?
Higher LCD brightness increases power consumption and heat generation, so the enclosure must provide sufficient heat-dissipation area and airflow. Natural convection may be adequate for lower-power designs, while higher-power designs may require forced airflow such as a fan. Vent locations should support airflow around heat-generating areas, but openings can also introduce dust or water; filters or membranes may therefore be required when environmental protection is needed. The final thermal solution should be validated in the actual enclosure, orientation, ambient temperature, sealing condition, and operating load.
