Sigma is intended to reduce repeated integration work that occurs when the LCD, touch sensor, controller, backlight circuit, mechanical structure, cables, firmware, and optical bonding are sourced and qualified separately. By providing a standardized and pre-integrated display platform, Sigma can reduce carrier-board and cable redesign, interface inconsistencies, touch and backlight integration work, supplier coordination, qualification effort, troubleshooting complexity, and lifecycle requalification risk. This lets the customer focus more engineering resources on the functions that differentiate the final system.
