Sigma Touch Display — The Best Choice
30 Oct, 2025When a European customer visited in October this year, he shared that he had envisioned an integrated architecture similar to the Sigma Touch Display Solution (TDS) many years ago but had never been able to put it into practice. When he learned about AMT’s Sigma TDS, he was delighted that we had turned his idea into reality and provided a convenient and efficient TDS product design.
During the new product development process, engineers often face different specifications of LCD panels that require corresponding LED driver boards, LVDS image transmission cables, and firmware modifications. When a touch panel is added, integration with a touch controller is also required. In this process, cable sourcing can be difficult, assembly is complex, and the workload for product design and testing increases — making it a time-consuming and labor-intensive task for engineers. The core advantage of AMT’s Sigma TDS is the integration of the LED driver board, touch controller, and LVDS signal into a single module. With just one cable, all connections are completed, simplifying assembly and significantly reducing development time and costs.
Universal Modular Design
The Sigma TDS series offers five sizes, all sharing the same pin definition. Customers only need to develop one single-board computer (SBC) and use one 51-pin cable to make all Sigma TDS sizes compatible. Advantages include:
- Supports 7”, 10.1”, 12.1”, 15.6”, and 21.5” sizes
- Unified pin definition across all sizes for easy cross-size application, ideal for multi-model product families
- Simplifies customer supply chain and reduces inventory management costs
- Shortens product development cycles and reduces R&D and design costs
- Passes complete reliability testing to ensure stable performance

Compliant with Industrial-Grade Standards
Sigma TDS not only focuses on integration and flexibility in design but also places great importance on product quality and specifications. The series adopts industrial-grade LCD panels and AMT’s highly reliable PCAP touch solutions, providing excellent stability and durability for long-term operation in outdoor, semi-outdoor, and industrial environments. Key features include:
- LCD brightness options of 500 nits and 1000 nits, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications
- Wide temperature range, with LCD operating temperatures from -20°C to 70°C or -30°C to 85°C
- Anti-UV design to prevent yellowing and bubbling under prolonged sunlight exposure
- The touch panel features a chemically strengthened cover glass
- ESD and EMC protection design compliant with IEC 61000 standards
