Anti-UV function

1. UV-Resistant Touch Panel: Outdoor applications are exposed to direct sunlight, and extended exposure to UV damages the touch panel, resulting in yellowing, hazing, bubbling, or even cracking. These defects reduce the light transmission of the touch panel, aside from appearance damage, and air bubbles may also hinder the regular operation of the panel. AMT offers anti-UV PCAP touch solutions that block UV more than 95%. Our products went through UV accelerated aging test AMT anti-UV PCAP touch panels can pass QUV ASTM G154 Cycle 1 - 1,000 hours and Q-Sun MIL-STD-810H pro1 - 1,000 hours test.

2. LCD Protected from UV as Well: Long-term exposure to UV rays may also cause the LCD panel to deteriorate. AMT anti-UV PCAP touch panel but also protect the LCD panel under the touch panel and prevent the LCD panel from yellowing

3. UV-resistant ink: Outdoor applications often use ceramic ink. However, the ceramic ink has limited color choices, thicker printing thicknesses, and higher baking temperatures. To provide a better solution, AMT uses glass ink instead. Glass ink can be applied on thin glass (less than 2.8mm), with good shielding and more color choices while maintaining a thin printing thickness. AMT glass ink can pass the QUV ASTM G154 Cycle 1 - 1,000 hours and Q-Sun MIL-STD-810H pro1 -1,000 hour tests. These tests indicate that the ink would not discolor, peel or crack when used outdoor over an extended time.

Anti-Corrosion

Detrimental gases originates from automobile exhaust, and other air pollution may cause corrosion of outdoor applications. For example, sulfur and nitrogen would form sulfuric acid and nitric acid when reacted with water vapor. These two gases may oxidize and corrode the silver wires of  PCAP touch panel. AMT designed panels with special protection to keep touch panels safe from these harmful chemicals.

High-Spec Operating and Storage Temperature Ranges

Outdoor touch applications might be exposed to extreme temperatures (as low as -40°C; as high as 60°C). AMT PCAP touch panels have passed 500 hours of environmental testing. Our industrial PCAP touch products can meet operating temperature -40˚C ~ +85˚C and storage temperature -50˚C ~ +90˚C.
