AMT Connects the Dots by Looking Backwards: Reflections on 2022 and Looking Forward to a Great 2023
20 Dec, 20222022 has been a tough year for manufacturers: the US-China trade war and Ukrainian-Russian War induced Inflation, raw materials shortages, shipping delays, and freight cost Increases. Externally, AMT did its most to tackle the abovementioned uncertainty so customers' products can be manufactured and shipped smoothly. Internally, we followed the government guidelines closely to prevent the further expansion of the epidemic by closely monitoring our employees' health. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers for their understanding and cooperation, and our employees for their hard work, so that we can continue to thrive under such an unfavorable environment! Here are the highlights of AMT in 2022.
Technology-Leading Touch Solutions
New products and features AMT launched or innovated in 2022:
- Aqua Proof PCAP Touch: specially designed for showers, car washes, and other environments. Even with liquid on the touch surface, the PCAP touch buttons can operate normally.
- PCAP Force Touch: incorporates piezoelectric elements to detect pressure on the PCAP touchscreen display. Users must apply more pressure when touching to activate certain safety-related functions. Officially launch 2023 Q1.
- Automotive grade: AMT PCAP touch panels can reach the temperature level of automotive regulations, anti-UV, and anti-corrosion functions. We can provide a long-distance CAN bus transmission interface.
- Value-added TDS family (Touchscreen Display Solutions), including: "TDS Plus" with mid-frame design, "TDS High Brightness" with high brightness LCD panel, and "TDS EMC" with anti-EMI design on PCAP touch panel.
- All-Black coating: can be coated on the glass to create a chic look after the device is turned off. It can reduce the color difference between the LCD display area and the black frame of the touch panel.
- Vi-K coating: an antiviral/antibacterial coating developed by AMT. It can be applied to glass to shield the device with more than six years of protection.
Full-fledged Xizhi Production Line
In February, the optical bonding team and open frame assembly line are relocated to our new additional branch- Xizhi, New Taipei City. We celebrated the launch of this new location by holding a new product presentation and a factory visit. Despite the pandemic, nearly 100 customers and guests joined us to celebrate the event. Xizhi factory specs: height of 5 meters, one-stop container loading & unloading system, and 10,000 square meters. We are confident that this location could meet the production demand in the next years.
Digital Marketing Promotion
Digital marketing is a trend that became even more important after the outbreak of the pandemic. AMT launched [AMT Media Center] (www.amtouchmc.com), which showcases all the multi-media resources, including product videos, success stories, ESG policies, and news reports, among others, to provide a one-stop service. AMT Spreads the Love
AMT takes our social responsibility seriously. This year, we contributed to 38 charities and schools and helped 191 students from impoverished families. When COVID-19 caused a national blood shortage in Taiwan, we summoned a bloodmobile so our colleagues could donate blood to help. When we became aware that students in remote communities had been infected with COVID-19, we donated the rapid screening to some remote schools in Pingtung, hoping everyone would be safe during the epidemic.
