Low Reflective Design

Clearly viewing the LCD display of a touch panel outdoors in direct sunlight can be difficult.  In order to solve this problem, a high brightness LCD can be used or an AMT Low Reflective (LR) touch panel structural design can be adopted. A LR PCAP touch solution satisfies the needs of outdoor applications.

AMT LR PCAP touch panel structure consists of a Dual Glass (DG) design. The top layer is Décor Glass treated with an Anti-Reflective (AR) coating.  Next is a Glass Sensor with another glass panel laminated below to protect the Glass Sensor.  In order to ensure long-term product reliability, a polarizer is included in the design, bringing light reflectivity to 1.5% and light transmittance to 85%. AMT LR PCAP touch panels can greatly reduce sunlight reflection to make sure the LCD remains clearly visible in the brightest conditions.

Paired with a PenMount PCAP controller, an AMT LR PCAP touch panel will be able to take advantage of PenMount functionality including: noise immunity, water handling, thick cover glass support, gloved operation, etc.   AMT provides a powerful and reliable PCAP total touch solution to satisfy the requirements of outdoor devices.
